Firefighters called out to beach blaze

BEACH-GOERS enjoying a sunny day were shocked when they spotted billowing smoke next to one of Wales' most picturesque coastal spots.

Firefighters were called to Three Cliffs Bay in the Gower late on Sunday afternoon and spent three hours tackling the blaze, which covered around two hectares of gorse and woodland adjacent to the sandy cove.
