Edtech firm acquired in Dutch deal

EDTECH venture Learna has been acquired by Dutch firm Reducate Edtech.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but is understood to be an eight-figure transaction.

Cardiff-based Learna is a leading provider of online postgraduate education and continuing professional development (CPD) for professionals.

Established in 2010, it delivers postgraduate diplomas, masters and MBA programmes across a range of disciplines.

Reducate was advised on the deal by Cardiff-based Hugh James (legal) and Gambit (corporate advisory).

It follows its acquisition of Edinburgh-based Oxford Medical Training last year, on which Hugh James and Gambit also advised.

The Learna acquisition marks another key milestone in its ongoing expansion into the UK’s professional education market. Reducate currently serves over 200,000 professionals across more than 50 different professions.
