Cwtches and comedy as William takes trip to bay

THE Prince of Wales visited Wales yesterday, meeting members of a local community to shine a spotlight on young people living in coastal communities.

Taking a stroll along Colwyn Bay, the prince chatted with members of Marine Conservation Society's Youth Ocean Network.

William met volunteers and young people who were involved in the society’s Hiraeth Yn Y Mor project.

He also visited an organisation called Youth Shedz in the area, a safe space for young people who might be experiencing challenges such as school exclusion, bullying and other social issues such as homelessness.

At Porth Eirias, crowds of excited people waited to greet the prince, with some lucky enough to get a selfie or even a big hug.

Angela Jones, 65, of Conwy, pictured on page one, waited amongst the crowd and got a cwtch from William.
