Church's tears as she sings tribute to children killed in Gaza conflict

AN EMOTIONAL Charlotte Church sang out the names of children who have died in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict during a gathering on Saturday.

The singer’s voice cracked several times as the small group at Swansea Guildhall watching her also shed tears while she sang the names of many seven-year-old children over nearly 20 minutes.

It came as pro-Palestine protests took place throughout the UK on Saturday, despite calls from senior politicians and police officers to postpone them in the wake of the deadly terror attack at a synagogue in Manchester last Thursday.

In London, the Metropolitan Police said it had arrested almost 500 people, including 488 arrests for supporting banned terror organisation Palestine Action. There was also a protest march in Cardiff. South Wales Police did not respond to our query on whether or not there were any arrests.
