JD CYMRU NORTH/SOUTH

CAMBRIAN United staged a dramatic fightback to win 3-2 at Caerau Ely to stay top of JD Cymru South.

The league leaders trailed to a 19th-minute goal from Hywel Hughes before levelling from the penalty spot through Liam Eason. But Jack Ashford regained the lead for the home side in the 77th minute.

Cambrian conjured up a second equaliser from Jarrad Wright in the 86th minute and then a winner from Danny Birch moments later.

It was the second week in a row Caerau had lost 3-2 and they have dropped to fifth in the table.

Second-placed Trefelin left it late at Aberystwyth before extending their unbeaten run in the league to 10 games thanks to goals from Lewys Ware and Jasper Jones in a 2-0 win.

Aberystwyth manager Callum McKenzie was sent off during the interval, while Ethan O'Toole was dismissed for two yellow cards.
