BAE tech to boost UK's explosives

DEFENCE and aerospace venture BAE Systems has developed a breakthrough in the production of energetics and propellants expected to strengthen supply chain resilience for the UK and its allies.
These developments follow more than £150m worth of investment by the company in its UK munitions facilities since 2022, which will deliver a sixteen-fold increase in production capacity of 155mm artillery shells when its new explosive-filling facility at Glascoed in south Wales becomes operational this summer.
