Anger after iconic statue is defaced

RESIDENTS were left furious after a large sex toy was attached to a statue of one of Wales' most significant historical figures.

The statue in Conway
Llywelyn ab Iorwerth, the Gwynedd prince who united the nation, has twice endured the same humiliation in Conwy town centre.
The statue, positioned on a column above a fountain in Lancaster Square, was unveiled in 1898 to honour the prince who is considered to be one of Wales' greatest leaders.
In late September, a phallic object was placed on his head, with the same prank repeated.
