'Fans would not forgive if I did not go strong'

LOUCESTER Rugby are going fully loaded for the trip to the Recreation Ground to face Bath Rugby in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup on Sunday, director of rugby George Skivington has confirmed.

Star Wales scrum-half Tomos Williams is back from his week of mandatory rest having played every weekend of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations, and his international half-back teammate Gareth Anscombe has recovered from a hamstring injury to come back into selection contention this weekend.

Asked whether he would field his strongest available side, with a tough trip to Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership just six days later, Skivington said: “I don’t think the Gloucester fans would forgive me if we didn’t. We're at Bath away. I think it’s important for us.

“The boys are in a good spot. ‘They're enjoying what they're doing. ‘They're a very tight-knit group. Ultimately, we're not a massive squad anyway. I think we've got a guaranteed six games left and we want to just try to win them all.
