Family thank public for helping cyclist after crash

THE man who was killed in an alleged hit and run tragedy in Bristol last weekend has been named, as his grieving family have thanked members of the public and the emergency services who tried to save him.

Alan Hydes was cycling in Bedminster when he was hit by a car being driven along North Street at around 12.30pm on Sunday, January 11.
The driver failed to stop and two people were later arrested. They have since been released on bail pending further inquiries by police.
