BATH Rugby surged into the semi-finals of the European Challenge Cup with a big win over West Country rivals Gloucester Rugby - running away with the match in the second half following a tighter first period.

The Cherry & Whites were never ahead in the game, but they were within seven points approaching the half-time break.

However, the Blue, Black & Whites stretched their advantage to 33-19 at the interval and then cruised away from their old rivals in the second half yesterday evening.
