Funding boost for Cornwall's best athletes
West Briton (Truro and Mid Cornwall)
|July 03, 2025
>> ATHLETES from all across Cornwall have received support from the GLL Sports Foundation (GSF) in what has become the second-largest GSF awards evening in the UK.
There were 144 athletes at Callywith College in Bodmin and the event saw sportsmen and women from 23 different disciplines receive funding and get access to vital training and recovery services, worth a total of £92,150.
More than half of the athletes are under 21 and most of them receive little or no central funding to take part in their sports.
