THE Avalon C Team registered a 3-2 success over Fosseway, with wins for Malcolm Srawley & Craig Robertson, Chris Butland & Tony Logan and Gary Quin & Rob Richardson.

Mixed results for Mendip sides in the Avalon League

The B Team were not so fortunate, going down to defeat against Worlebury with a solitary win for joint-captains Tom Young & Mark Smith.

The ladies' Yellowball Bowmaker saw Anita Butcher, Elaine Kitchener, Carol Curtis & Fran Davies in third with 107 points. Three ahead of them in second came Chris Williams, Nola Russell, Carol Howerd & Jenny Merrett, however the winners, with 118, were Carol King, Lizzie Wood, Lally Gibson & Fiona Hassard.

The Granny Trophy and Weekend Stableford saw a win for Gibson again, with a fine 42 points. Division One went to Edwina Willis with 41, four clear of Rosemary Brown. Division Two was won by Helen Roberts, also with 41, with Anne Collins second on 39.
