CHILCOMPTON Sports continued their push for the Premier Division title with another six of the best in a 6-2 win at home to Clevedon United on Saturday.

Jed Parfitt struck a treble for Chili, while Ryan Gay bagged a brace and Daniel Cottle also got himself on the scoresheet.

‘They remain three points behind leaders Ilminster Town, who won their game in hand on Easter Monday - with the two sides now looking set for a blockbuster meeting on Tuesday.

Wells City Reserves went even better with a 9-1 mauling at Stockwood Wanderers and could still finish in the top five should they win their games in hand.

Nick Fowler claimed a hat-trick for Wells, alongside doubles for Richard Fowler and Thomas Smith and goals from Cory and Shay Bobbett.

Somerton Town endured a tough Easter Monday as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at Uphill Castle.

Somerton were edged out in a seven-goal thriller at already relegated Bishop Sutton on Saturday. Jacob Holland netted twice for Somerton, alongside a strike from Jamie Brown, but it proved to no avail on the day.
