The Vietnamese television market is entering its most competitive landscape in decades, with rivals employing new AI-powered experiences to gain an advantage.

- By Tung Anh

LG Electronics Vietnam on May 12 held an event to introduce its 2026 range of AI TVs and soundbars, marking a new step in its strategy to upgrade home entertainment.

Leading its 2026 product line-up is the OLED Evo W6, marking the return of the renowned wall-mounted design with an ultra-thin screen.

This year, the company’s home entertainment ecosystem is being expanded with the LG Micro RGB Evo AI, a new TV category in the premium LCD segment. It also expands its entire QNED product line to include the QNED Evo AI MiniLED 2026 range.

Song Ikhwan, general director of Sales and Marketing at LG Electronics Vietnam, said, “The 2026 generation of AI TVs and soundbars not only surpasses their predecessors but also represents a strong affirmation of the company’s uncompromising audiovisual standards. These are technological masterpieces, creating the ultimate experience for Vietnamese users.”

Samsung, meanwhile, is focusing on the high-end segment and large displays, balancing technological innovation with providing stronger user experiences.

According to Cu Kim, CEO of Samsung Electronics in Southeast Asia and Oceania, the company has developed a strategy to create new experiences with AI, hoping to make TV the centrepiece of the home experience.
