High school staff set to face jobs cut

SEVERAL staff roles are being made redundant at Tiverton High School as the governing body launches a major restructuring in response to financial pressures, sparking concerns over education quality and safety.

A spokesperson for the school said: "All schools are facing significant financial pressures currently and governors have had to make the difficult decision to start the process of a restructure to ensure that the budget is balanced."
Administrative positions are being cut and teaching staff have been asked to reapply for their jobs, prompting fears from parents about larger class sizes.
