Bradninch stay clear of Paignton before clash
The Tiverton Gazette
|July 08, 2025
JUSTIN Wubbeling and Malusi Siboto both hit half-centuries for Bradninch & Kentisbeare in a four-wicket bounce-back win over Heathcoat.
Skipper Gary Chappell was looking for a reaction from his team to the defeat by Exeter that squeezed their Premier Division lead over Paignton at the top of the table down to eight points.
Chasing 252 to win with more than three overs to spare was just what Chappell wanted to see - and it meant Paignton did not get any closer.
While Chappell plots a way for his side to retain the Premier title they won last year, opposite number Dylan Penberthy-Hutchings has other priorities.
Heathcoat are one place and 21 points clear of the drop spots with second-placed Paignton on the timetable this Saturday.
Penberthy-Hutchings helped himself to a century in Heathcoat's 59-over total of 251 for eight. It was his first Premier ton, although he did make a second XI century against Kilmington back in 2021.
