Fined £1,900 for taking too long to park

A WOMAN is being taken to court for £1,906 because each time she paid for parking it took more than five minutes.
Rosey Hudson said she was unable to use the app while in a car park in Derby due to poor phone signal, so went to a nearby shop to use wifi.
She claimed she paid the £3.30 tariff every time. But Excel Parking Ltd sent her a £100 parking charge notice. She paid it, but was sent nine more fines for other visits.
