Why is the BJP delaying in announcing its new party chief? First, we were told that J.P. Nadda's successor would be in place before the start of the monsoon session of Parliament. There was also talk of a comprehensive cabinet reshuffle along with setting up a new team at the party headquarters. But now we are told that the new date has been pushed back to sometime post the monsoon session, i.e., after August 21. What could be the delay because sources have said that the RSS is content to let Prime Minister Narendra Modi make the pick so long as the candidate is someone who has a good equation with the RSS as well. This includes most of the names doing the rounds. Then what could be the reason for the delay?
