Zootopia 2 breaks record to become top-grossing Disney animation film

Walt Disney Animation Studios' Zootopia 2 surpassed Frozen 2 (2019) to become its highest-grossing film ever, the company said on Dec 31, marking a bright spot in a year when the global box office continues to trail pre-pandemic levels.

Zootopia 2 grossed around US$1.46 billion (S$1.88 billion) at the box office after its strong US Thanksgiving weekend opening in late November, while Frozen 2 made US$1.45 billion in 2019.
Zootopia 2 is the fifth Walt Disney Animation Studios film to cross US$1 billion globally after Frozen 2, Moana 2 (2024), Zootopia (2016) and Frozen (2013).
Zootopia 2 is also one of three movies to cross US$1 billion globally in 2025.
