Two under remission orders among 4 men charged with rioting over Rochor brawl

Four men have each been charged with one count of rioting while armed with deadly weapons, after they allegedly took part in a brawl in Rochor Canal Road that left two people with stab wounds.
Two of the alleged rioters — Muhammad Nuraqib Minhat, 32, and Muhammad Fiqkri Jaffri, 31 — are accused of committing the offence while they were under remission orders.
Nuraqib was released from prison in June 2023, and was supposed to keep out of trouble from June 10 that year to Sept 14, 2025.
Fiqkri is under a remission order from July 19, 2025, to Oct 7, 2026, after his earlier release from prison.
Court documents did not disclose details about their earlier offences. But they are now accused of breaching their remission orders after they allegedly re-offended by taking part in the Rochor brawl.
They could receive enhanced sentences if they are convicted over their roles in the incident.
