SOLID START FOR KOREA JUVENILES

Talented youngsters Mujehan Geup and Wild Park claim first two races in 2YO series

The 2025 Juvenile series in South Korea got under way at Seoul and Busan on Sept 14.

In the capital, Mujehan Geup saw off a field of 12 rivals to keep his unbeaten record intact in the 200 million Korean won (S$184,000) Listed Munhwa Ilbo Trophy (1,200m).

On the South Coast, Wild Park had to contend with only seven rivals. But he was pushed all the way by Supex Winner to add the Listed Busan Gangseo-gu Mayor’s Cup (1,200m) - which also carried a prize purse of 200 million Korean won - to the Rookie Stakes he secured on Aug 17.

Trained by Moon Byeong-ki, Mujehan Geup was the only runner in the field to have already won twice from two starts in the last two months.

Despite being drawn widest in gate 13, the Old Fashioned colt still brought cheers to his supporters for the third time in his career.
