Popular streamer Emiru accosted at TwitchCon in California

Popular American Twitch streamer Emiru was accosted by a man at TwitchCon 2025 during a meet-and-greet session with fans.
A video of the incident — which reportedly took place on Oct 17 — posted online shows the streamer interacting with a male fan when another man, in a grey plaid shirt, approached Emiru.
The man embraced her and appeared to lean in for a kiss before a security staff member stepped in and shoved him away.
The 27-year-old streamer, whose real name is Emily Beth Schunk, later said in an Oct 19 post on X that she was disappointed in how the security staff at TwitchCon “did not react and let the guy walk away”.
