|September 26, 2025
A total of $165,100 in fines and two stop-work orders were issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) after inspections at 500 worksites from June to August uncovered workplace hazards.
In a Facebook post on Sept 25, MOM said it recorded 1,253 unsafe observations, including uneven steel plates, waste blocking walkways and wet kitchen floors.
Also, workers were seen wearing shoes with poor grip and inadequate protection.
Such hazards are known as “slips, trips and falls” hazards.
