Following the recent death of an HDB resident, it is right that we reflect on how we, as a society, can better foster harmonious community living (Yishun knife attack: Woman dies after noise dispute between neighbours; man arrested for murder, Sept 24).

- Heidi Ng

It is therefore relevant to review HDB’s Designing for Life road map, which rightly places residents’ holistic well-being at the forefront. A fundamental component of achieving, in HDB’s words, “solutions that will bring about positive well-being outcomes” is the acoustic comfort of our homes.
