Hao Corp’s Taste Orchard lease terminated after just 18 months

Its Hao Mart and sub-tenants must vacate, hand over premises by Dec 31

Homegrown business Hao Corp’s lease at the former OG Orchard Point building has been terminated by the landlord, OG, just 18 months after the launch of its grocery and food and beverage (F&B) concept mall, Taste Orchard.

Its supermarket Hao Mart and subtenants including Japanese sushi chain Sushiro and Killiney Kopitiam must now vacate and hand over the premises by Dec 31.

In letters personally addressed to tenants dated Sept 12 and signed off by Hao Corp’s senior vice-president of operations Jupri Suep, the master tenant said OG had notified it of the termination of its lease for Taste Orchard, The Business Times reported.

No explanation was given in the letters.
