Pasar malams have long been an integral part of Singapore’s social life, a lively and nostalgic space where people stroll along rows of stalls offering everything from clothes and trinkets to games and food.
While the atmosphere is vibrant, I have growing concerns about the type of food being sold. I have observed that most night markets still feature large numbers of stalls selling deep-fried food.
