Feast for the eyes
The Statesman
|February 08, 2025
Dacres Lane is known for the delectable street food it serves up. As dawn descends on the city of Kolkata, through sunshine and rain, hail or storm, vendors line up with their breakfast fares—everything from hot, fluffy, fried flatbreads of wheat (luchi) to cold coffee and seasonal fruit shakes—orange, pineapple, mango.
But from February 1 to 4, the tiny narrow street served up a different kind of feast. A feast for the eyes. With a photo exhibition which showcased selected works of myriad artists.
