Vijay dismisses AIADMK-BJP alliance as of no consequence, says 2026 is direct fight between DMK and TVK

Actor-turned politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder president Vijay on Saturday dismissed the coming together of the BJP and AIADMK for the 2026 assembly election of no consequence, saying it has been rejected by the electorate thrice for promoting communal divisiveness and that the real fight was between the TVK and the ruling DMK.
"It is no great surprise that the BJP, having settled the deal with its secret partner DMK, has forced its former ally, AIADMK to fall in line under duress as was the case earlier too," Vijay said in a strongly worded statement.
