Trinamul leaders, relatives figured in WBSSC list of 'tainted' teachers

Some candidates are either municipal councillors or zilla parishad members while others are close relatives like brothers or in-laws of the ruling party MLAs and influential leaders in West Bengal.
Their only similarity is they are all assistant teachers and have figured in the list of 1804 'tainted' teachers published by the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC), sole body that holds recruitment tests for teachers, group C and D employees in state government-aided and sponsored secondary and higher secondary schools across the state, in its official website on Saturday night.
The names of a large number of ruling Trinamul Congress leaders and relatives who had got jobs as assistant teachers from the panel of State Level Selection Test (SLST) held by the WBSSC in 2016 have identified as 'tainted' as per the WBSSC list.
The commission was prompted to produce the list after the Supreme Court on 28 August directed the former to publish it on their official website in next seven days.
