In a strategic move to strengthen the party's organisational structure ahead of the upcoming elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has appointed former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth as the Central Coordinator for four crucial states: Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Gujarat.
Siddharth, who rejoined the BSP recently, is also the father-in-law of Mayawati's nephew and the party's National Coordinator, Akash Anand. Sources confirmed on Sunday that Siddharth will take over as the Central Coordinator for Sector-3 of BSP's national structure, a role previously held by Randhir Singh Beniwal.
