Market gains on rising hopes of India-US trade deal

The Stock Market on Thursday extended its gaining streak for a second day with Nifty surpassing 25,600 during the session for the first time since June 27.
At close, the Sensex was up 862.23 points or 1.04per cent at 83,467.66, and the Nifty was up 261.75 points or LO3per cent at 25,585.30. Further, the BSE midcap index rose 0.3per cent and smallcap index added OAper cent.
Among the sectors, barring PSU Bank which ended lower by O4Aper cent , all other sectoral indices closed in the green. Auto, bank, consumer durable, realty FMCG, oil & gas up 0.5-1.7per cent.
