Heavy rain to lash north Bengal, fishermen alert issued, city to face rain till tomorrow

The Alipur Meteorological Office on Sunday evening said the low-pressure system that had intensified over the Bay of Bengal has weakened into a cyclonic circulation over north Bihar.
However, its residual impact is likely to bring heavy to very heavy rain across several parts of Bengal, particularly in the northern districts.
The Met Office said rainfall intensity over North Bengal will begin to reduce gradually from Tuesday, while Kolkata and adjoining South Bengal districts including North and South 24-Parganas and Howrah are likely to experience light to moderate thundershowers till Monday, with a yellow alert in force. Weather conditions across South Bengal are expected to improve significantly from Wednesday.
