Heads of schools rally behind untainted teachers after SC verdict

The heads of the state-run and state-aided educational institutions on 13 April gathered at Sujata Sadhan, Kolkata to discuss the complicated issues regarding the untainted teachers.
The issue cropped up after the verdict of the Supreme Court that had invalidated the panel of West Bengal government's 2016 appointment of more than 25,000 teachers and non-teaching staff, upholding the Calcutta High Court order on the matter.
The meeting took place under the banner of 'Advanced Society for Headmasters and Headmistresses'.
The apex court in its verdict annulled the appointments of nearly 26,000 teachers en bloc under the head of tainted and untainted teachers.
