From Tendulkar to Sindhu, India's sporting stars wish PM Modi on 75th birthday

Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar led the sporting fraternity in wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 75 on Wednesday. Born on 17 September, 1950 in Vadnagar, asmalltownin North Gujarat's Mehsana district, he rose from avery humble background to serve as the Chief Minister of the state for three consecutive terms between 2001 and 2014, before being elected India’s Prime Minister in 2014. He is currently serving a third consecutive term after being reelected in 2019 and 2024.

Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar penned a heartfelt post for Prime Minister Modi, wishing for "abundant health, happiness' forthe "iconic leader’.

“Wishing Honourable PM Shri @narendramodijia very happy 75th birthday. May the year ahead be filled with abundant health, happiness, and strength to lead India forward,’ Tendulkar posted on social media.

Former India skipper Anil Kumble also wished the PM on his social media handle, “Wishing our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi jia very happy birthday. May youcontinue to lead ournation towards prosperity and growth with your visionand dedication”

Suryakumar Yadav, who is currently leading India’s T201 side in the Asia Cup, shared, “Sending my best wishes to our honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji on his birthday.’

Star pacer Ishant Sharma wished forthe PM’s well-being and wrote, “Happy birthday to our Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodiji. Thank you foryour leadership and dedication to building a stronger India. Wishing you continued success and well-being.”

Former India women’s team captain Mithali Raj shared a picture with the iconic leader, writing, "Heartfelt birthday greetings to our Hor’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji. Wishing you health, peace and strength as you continue to lead India with vision and unwavering dedication.”
