Railways utilised over 80 pc of capex in first three quarters of current fiscal

Indian Railways has utilised more than 80 per cent of its allocated capital expenditure in the first three quarters of the current financial year, reflecting steady progress in infrastructure development and modernisation initiatives, Ministry of Railways said on Monday.

The Ministry of Railways has spent Rs 2,03,138 crore, about 80.54 per cent, of the total Gross Budgetary Support (GBS) allocation of Rs2,52,200 crore for FY 2025-26 as of the end of December 2025.
