K'taka govt to enact Rohit Vemula Act to tackle caste-based discrimination

Within a little while of getting a missive from the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for ending caste-based discrimination in education, Karnataka Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah on Friday declared that Karnataka will introduce Rohit Vemula Act soon to tackle the issue.
As urged by Rahul Gandhi, the Karnataka chief minister said: "We will bring this legislation at the earliest to honour the dreams of Rohit, Payal, Darshan and countless others who deserved dignity, not isolation."
