Birla Corporation Limited reported a strong performance in the September quarter with consolidated EBITDA rising 71per cent year-on-year to ₹332 crore, driven by improved profitability in both its cement and jute divisions.
The company posted a net profit of ₹90 crore, against a loss of ₹25 crore in the same period last year.Revenue grew 13per cent to ₹2,233 crore, supported by a 7per cent rise in cement sales volume to 4.2 million tons and a turnaround in Birla Jute Mills.
