Vice-Prezlauds CAG‘’s roleas ‘Guardian ofthe Public Purse’

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on Sunday appreciated the pivotal role of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, calling the institution the “guardian of the public purse.”

In his address at the ‘Audit Diwas' celebrations, the vice president highlighted that by upholding fairness and truth in auditing, the CAG stands as a pillar of accountability, transparency, and integrity, which is the moral wealth of Bharat.

He remarked, “Supreme Audit Institutions across the world share one common purpose: to protect public money and promote good governance. Among them, the CAG of India stands proudly, upholding the principles of accountability, transparency, and integrity in public life”.
