Temple Roof left dangling
The Statesman Bhubaneswar
|July 25, 2025
A partially demolished Trinath Temple near the Khordha New Bus Stand and Irrigation Division Office has sparked public outrage, with locals blaming the Khordha Municipal Council for endangering lives through careless execution of urban development work.
As part of an ongoing city beautification drive, which includes road widening and removal of roadside cabins, the municipal authorities recently used a JCB machine to demolish part of the temple structure. However, the demolition was left incomplete, leaving the roof of the temple precariously suspended.
