Stock market wraps up, notches 7th day of gains

In seven sessions, Sensex rose 6,269 points (8.5 per cent) and Nifty 1,930 points (8.6 per cent), adding ₹36 lakh crore to investor wealth
The stock market on Wednesday wrapped up the session on a high note, notching their seventh straight day of gains. Robust buying was seen in IT, auto, and pharma stocks.
At close, the Sensex was up 520.90 points or 0.65 per cent at 80,116.49, and the Nifty was up 161.70 points or 0.67 per cent at 24,328.95.
Notably, in the last seven sessions, Sensex has gained 6,269 points, or 8.5 per cent, and the Nifty 50 has jumped 1,930 points, or 8.6 per cent making investors richer by about 36 lakh crore in the period.
