Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allay the fears of the people of Tamil Nadu regarding the upcoming delimitation exercise, assuring that it would not result in a reduction in the state's share of parliamentary seats.
Stalin called on the Prime Minister to guarantee that states which have successfully controlled population growth would not be "penalised" in the process.
