Litigants equally vital in the rule of law: CM Yogi at HC inauguration

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed that in a society governed by the rule of law, "the litigant is as important as the Bar and the Bench." He was speaking on Saturday at the inauguration of the advocate chambers and multi-level parking facility, constructed at a cost of 680 crore within the Allahabad High Court premises. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Justice of India, Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai.

Recalling a 2017 programme at the Allahabad High Court, the Chief Minister referenced the Prime Minister's remarks that the rule of law is the foremost condition for good governance. Expressing solidarity with the legal fraternity, he acknowledged the difficult conditions under which advocates often work—whether in dilapidated chambers or under trees—and praised their ongoing efforts in the pursuit of justice.

Marking the significance of the day, CM Yogi noted, "Today marks the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. This year also celebrates the Amrit Mahotsav of the implementation of the Constitution of India."
