High Power Committee Meets Over RSP Expansion Project

A crucial high-level meeting for the proposed expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was held here on Thursday with officers from the ministry of steel, state government and RSP to find ways for the smooth execution of the expansion plan, entailing rehabilitation of project-affected persons.
The high-power committee comprises the RDC Northern Division Sachin S Yadav, joint secretary steel Abhijit Narendra and DIC RSP Alok Verma. Earlier, one such meeting was held at Delhi.
Yadav said, the Rs. 30,000 crore expansion would be a big boon for the city as a new township would emerge. "It will generate employment both direct and indirect and the whole place will benefit."
