2,500 Women From Rural, Semi-Urban Areas Trained In AI Literacy Under NCW's Yashoda AI Programme

As many as 2,500 women from rural and semi-urban locations have undergone training for Yashoda AI, an AI literacy programme for women being run by National Commission for Women (NCW).
This information was shared by the Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
She said the women, who underwent the training, come from different walks of life, such as members of Self Help Groups (SHGs), local elected representatives such as sarpanchs, pradhans, parshads, mayors, MLAs, ASHA workers, micro-entrepreneurs, faculty & students, police officers, and government officials.
The programme aims to equip women in the country with AI literacy to enhance digital inclusion and empower them in areas of cyber security, digital privacy and safe online practices.
