SAPS leads Operation Shanela, arresting over 300 suspects in Tshwane

18 People were arrested for drug possession and five liquor outlets were closed down for noncompliance while 31 undocumented persons were arrested. Two vehicles have also been impounded.

Meanwhle, the SAPS in Tshwane district, in collaboration with multiple Jaw enforcement agencies, conducted a high-impact anti-crime operation, Operation Shanela, in Atteridgeville township on Saturday night.

The operation resulted in the arrest of over 300 suspects for various crimes, including murder and attempted murder.
