TALENTED chef Sam Miller has opened his own restaurant.
The 24-year-old, who worked at The Ryles Arms, near Wincle, for seven years, has opened The Russell Street Kitchen in Leek.
The restaurant - in the former The Street Restaurant and Grill - can cater for up to 20 people at a time. It is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 10pm and Sam serves up a set three course menu for £32.
Diners can choose between barbacoa beef tacos, Thai salmon fishcakes, and tomato and roasted pepper soup for starters. Mains include an 8oz local dry-aged sirloin, prosciutto-wrapped chicken breast, and Moroccan vegetable tagine.
