Sport Asia are on the silverware trail with Pinfold Trophy victory

Cheadle made their way to 127-8 from their 35 overs in the opening half of the showpiece.

Sam Cliffe top-scored with 44, with Noah Shaw chipping in with 31.

Kamran Khan claimed 4-27 and Muhammad Adrees helped himself to a couple of victims.

In reply, Matthew Degg (3-21) led the Cheadle bowling effort and there were two wickets apiece for Louie Welford and Joe Degg.

However, it was Sport Asia who managed to take the silverware, winning eight down, thanks to Liaqat Khan (41) and Syed Hammad Ahmad (39).

CHURCH Eaton were crowned Spear Travels Cup winners after seeing off Uttoxeter.

Half-centuries from George Burslem and Jordan Talbot powered Church Eaton to 252-6 from their 35 overs.

Burslem’s 70 included nine fours, with Talbot finding the boundary on seven occasions in his 58.

Douglas Hughes (42) and Oliver Wilson (29) also kept the pressure on the Uttoxeter bowlers.

Talbot then rounded off a man-ofthe-match performance by scooping 5-19 to dismiss Uttoxeter for 161 on the resumption.

Wilson chipped in with two scalps, while Will Ainsworth’s 74, which contained 13 fours and one six, was the principal contribution with the bat.
