Potters boss insists his players must deliver more to help to find consistent run of results
MIDWEEK MISERY: Mark Robins saw his Stoke City side lose 1-0 to Charlton Athletic on Wednesday.
MARK Robins told his Stoke City players to show the courage to take responsibility to shoot and create chances after a deflating defeat at Charlton.
Robins knows Stoke's problem all too well and said it was unacceptable that players were not busting a gut to get on the end of crosses or turning down the chance to shoot.
A run of 289 minutes without a goal meant that it was game over on Wednesday if they made a mistake at the other end, which happened late on as Tyreece Campbell slipped in to score the winner.
It leaves Stoke without a win in six games and sitting 14th with 13 games remaining, with an FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Fulham next up on Sunday.
Robins said: "It was a disappointing end to the night and a disappointing beginning.
