WALES are hoping to persuade Ashley Phillips to switch his international allegiance in time to join them for a World Cup qualifying playoff.

Phillips, aged 20, has represented England up to the under-21s at youth level but qualifies to play for Wales through his mum.
He had previously played for Wales at under-15s level.
