Man, 53, in custody over 'unexplained' death

POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in the early hours.

A cordon has been put up at the scene in Crewe as an investigation gets underway.

Cheshire Police say they were 'notified of a sudden death' at an address on Heron Crescent at around 2am on Sunday.

Officers found a 47-year-old woman had died.

Her family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
